Asian Development Bank (ADB) Executive Director Supak Chaiyawan has announced that the bank will increase its support to Nepal through a new development partnership strategy, as discussed in a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Vishnu Prasad Paudel.

For the period from 2025 to 2029, the ADB will focus on building capacity across three government levels, boosting the private sector, and enhancing education through its Development Partnership Strategy. This initiative will be carried out in cooperation with the World Bank. Finance Minister Paudel is optimistic about the effective progression of ADB-supported projects.

ADB Executive Director Chaiyawan pointed out the current economic difficulties in Nepal but is hopeful that Finance Minister Paudel’s leadership will drive economic growth. ADB has been aiding Nepal’s development in infrastructure, education, and environmental fields.
