On Thursday, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration awarded six municipalities for being the best. This recognition came from a nationwide competition among local bodies.
Resham Kandel, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry’s Local Level Coordination Branch, stated that Nilkanth Municipality in Dhading (92.50), Tilottama Municipality in Rupandehi (92), and Ratnanagar Municipality in Chitwan (91.5) were recognized as outstanding. He also mentioned that Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality in Dhading (87.25), Rurukshetra Rural Municipality in Gulmi (87), and Indrawati Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok (87) were honored for their excellence.
The municipalities were evaluated based on a total score of one hundred.
Rapti Municipality in Chitwan, Kshireswar Nath Municipality in Dhanusa, Helambu in Sindhupalchok, and Vishnupur Rural Municipality in Saptari were not part of the competition.
