On August 22, Apple told developers that iPhone and iPad users in the European Union will be able to remove the App Store or Safari browser.

According to Apple, EU users will be able to remove the App Store, Messages, Camera, Photos, and Safari apps.

For a long time, Apple made the App Store the only way to get digital content on its mobile devices. Now, due to new EU digital rules, the company is easing its control over these devices.

The commission told AFP that it will review any changes Apple makes to its compliance measures and will consider feedback from the market, especially from developers.
