Telugu star Nani recently faced an unexpected controversy after making comments about actor Arshad Warsi at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Surya’s Saturday.

“When it’s about a person you really love, you immediately react”and said, ‘Why are you giving so much importance to an unimportant matter?’” Stated by Nani.

Nani admitted that his choice of words might have been too harsh and clarified that his initial reaction was fuelled by his admiration for Prabhas. He further explained that he only saw brief clips of Warsi’s interview, which led to his strong reaction.

After taking a step back and watching the entire interview, “The biggest thing that you can do is accept your regret”stated by nani.

During his conversation with Mid-day, Nani explained that his comments were misunderstood due to translation issues. “I saw online when a language is translated into English, how it might sound. That always happens with social media,” he said. 

Nani was quick to praise Warsi’s talent, stating, “Arshad Warsi ji is a very good actor, and we all loved him in Munna Bhai, not just north or south, but the whole of India.”
