President Ram Chandra Poudel appointed Mr. Ashokraj Sigdel as Army Chief, effective from Bhadra 24, based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
The current Chief of the Army Staff, Prabhu Ram Sharma, will be retiring from his position, and Sigdel is set to take over the leadership of the Nepal Army.
