Jose Daniel ferrer is a Cuban opposition leader and human rights activist. He was arrested in 2003 for to his protest of peaceful pro-democracy activism. Ferrer was running Varela Project in Nation called Oswaldo Paya. Oswaldo paya is insist nation for: Free Elections, Freedom of Speech and Assembly along with release of Political Prisoners too.

He was sentenced to 25 years in Prison but released in 2011 as after serving 8 years. His Release was negotiated between the Ruling government, the Spanish government and the Catholic Church. later, he Re-establish the Union Patriotica de Cuba. Ferrer was Arrested and released several times Afterward.

In 2025 January, as part of larger prisoner release deal, he was free from the jail but return in April due to the violating of his Parole Conditions.
