Birodha Khatiwada secured the highest number of votes in the Politburo of the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist).
The Unified Socialist Party has elected 84 Politburo members through an election.
Birodha Khatiwada lost in the leadership vote but secured the top position in the Politburo by obtaining 205 votes.
Giban Ram Shrestha secured the second rank in the Unified Socialist Politburo with 195 votes, while Rama Aale Magar achieved third place with 194 votes. Ram Kumari Jhakri obtained the fourth rank.
