On Sunday, speaker Dev Raj Ghimire called all the party whips before the representatives’ house meeting.

“In the Representative House, parliamentarian Yogesh Bhattrai used the word ‘violence,’ while the Maoists referred to it as ‘people’s war.

The Maoists objected to that in the Representative House, but Speaker Ghimire said the term was not unparliamentary and did not need to be removed from the record.

Afterward, the Maoist Centre raised objections in Parliament, which caused a disturbance.

Speaker Ghimire called all the party whips for a meeting on the topic.
