The General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, addressed the Congress Jhapa-Kathmandu Contact Committee, stating that there should be 185 seats in the lower parliament instead of 275.

He added, ‘The right to lead the government should not depend solely on the number of seats; there should also be a popular vote.

If the Congress party finishes in second place in the election, it will spend five years in opposition. This will allow the government to operate smoothly and ensure that parliament remains intact.

Sharma stated, “I propose that no person shall be allowed to serve as Prime Minister more than twice.”
