On Tuesday, during a scuffle between protesters of CPN-UML and Pokhara municipal police, one of the municipal police officers was struck in the groin by protesters.

UML-CPN protesters wanted to meet with the mayor and deputy mayor of the municipality and tried to enter, but the municipal police refused, saying that they were absent. During the scuffle, unidentified protesters struck municipal police officer Santa Bahadur KC in the groin.

KC is undergoing treatment at Gandaki Medical College, as stated by Purushottam Thapa, Chief Officer of the Municipal Police.

The executive meeting held on the last day of Kartik, the 15th, decided to remove contractual employees. UML-CPN has been opposing this decision and is protesting against the metropolitan city.
