On Friday, an Indian-registered vehicle fell into the Marsyangdi River from the Prithvi Highway in Ainapahara, Aambukhaireini Municipality-4.

In the same event, 16 people got hurt. They were first taken to Ambukaireni Hospital. Around 3:15 PM, a Nepali Army helicopter flew 12 of them to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. Later, four more people were also flown there by helicopter.

The death toll has reached 27 after a bus with the registration number UP 53 FT 7623 fell into a river, according to DSP Shailendra Thapa of the Armed Police Force.

After the accident, teams from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepali Army were sent to the scene.

It has been found that 43 of the people involved were Indian. They were on their way from Pokhara to Kathmandu when the accident happened.

According to DSP Thapa, the bus will only be removed on Saturday.
