Despite issues in the private sector, there’s no need to worry. The government will solve these problems and bring hope. The private sector should stay confident that its problems will be fixed. The government values the private sector and will support its role stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Vishnu Prasad Paudel

The economy hasn’t recovered from its slow state yet. Demand is down, and our industries are working at just 40% capacity. We need to carefully manage public debt and decide how and where to borrow. The budget is poorly managed, with 11,000 new plans added without cost details. The government needs to complete 18,000 plans. The budgeting system is failing, and we also struggle with resource management, according to Finance Minister Paudel.

The government will partner with the private sector to improve jobs, production, and economic strength. The private sector should solve issues through direct dialogue rather than just sending demands. We’re prepared to tackle what needs to be done.

He mentioned that revenue has increased by 20% compared to the previous year and that development expenditure has risen by 9 times. He also noted that foreign exchange and remittances are in good condition.

He promised that the government would pay construction workers for their completed work. Paudel assured that payments will be made on time once submitted correctly to the right departments.

At an event titled “Strengthening the Economy with a Strong Private Sector and Robust Infrastructure,” organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Finance Minister Paudel made these comments.
