On Thursday morning, the bodies of a mother and her son were found at a house in Katari, Municipality-10, Udayapur.

The bodies were covered in blood, so villagers presume it to be a murder.

The mother, who was 40 years old, and her 8-year-old son lived in the house. Her husband has been living in New Delhi with another wife for the past three years.

The child’s throat was cut with a sharp weapon, and the mother’s body was found in a prone position, according to villagers.

The incident took place in a rural area where the police had not thoroughly investigated the case. The area police from Katari visited the scene, and DSP Rajan Chapagai stated that further information will be provided after the investigation.
