Sunsari, April 13, 2025 — A new program was launched by the Ministry of Tourism, Forests, and Environment at the Koshi Barrage Police Post in Sunsari District on the morning of 31st Chaitra 2081 (April 13, 2025). The initiative aims to ensure smooth entry and exit for foreign tourists by introducing a sticker system for vehicles with Indian number plates entering Nepal from various border points.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Sadanand Mandal, Minister for Tourism, Forests, and Environment of Koshi Province, who affixed the first sticker on a vehicle.

The event was attended by several key officials, including Mr. Ram Prasad Acharya, Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Mr. Dharmendra Mishra, Chief District Officer of Sunsari, Mr. Suman Kumar Timilsina, Chief of the District Police Office of Sunsari, and Mr. Nirmal Thapa, Chief of the Armed Police Force, Sunsari Battalion 4, along with local elected representatives and security officials.

This new initiative aims to make travel easier for foreign tourists and enhance tourism management in the region.
