On Saturday night, the Nepal police arrested CPN-UML leader and former president of Gramthan Rural Municipality in Morang, Shiva Narayan Majhi, along with eight others, in connection with a gambling case.
Nepal police raided a gambling den (gambling clubhouse) in Katahari Ward-4, Gramthan, and seized 1,851,500 rupees from the gamblers.
Last night, we received a tip-off from unknown sources, so the Morang and Biratnagar police teams went to the location, according to SP Nawaraj Karki, the police chief of Morang.
