On April 2, 2025, at 13:40 oclock, a 4-year-old girl named Ishu Sada, daughter of Kuseshwar Sada from Musahari Toll, Ward No. 7 of Koshi Rural Municipality in Sunsari, was allegedly kidnapped by an unidentified individual while playing in front of her house. The local ward chairman reported the incident to the police at 13:50, prompting an immediate response from the Haripur Police Outpost.

Upon investigation, the police found that no one in the village recognized the person who took the girl. A police team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yograj Khatri, conducted a search at the girl’s home and reviewed CCTV footage. Interviews with local residents revealed that the kidnapper was identified as Jitendra Saha, also known as “Jituwa,” a 30-31-year-old man from Dharampur, Ward No. 12, Kanchanrup Municipality in the neighboring Saptari district. It was further discovered that the suspect had ties to India.

In order to further investigate the case, a 9-member team was formed under DSP Yograj Khatri’s leadership, with additional support from the Province Investigation Team (PIT) of the Biratnagar Provincial Police Office. The police are coordinating with Indian authorities to track the suspect’s movements and identify potential locations where the child might be.
